I have a very simple philosophy when it comes to success and goal achievement…

“Go all in…or get all out.”

Success in any area of your life and career is forever linked directly to your heart…to your steadfast commitment to your goals.

Yet, in a world where commitment is a mandatory condition to success…far too many people suffer from a commitment deficit.

You cannot afford to let fatigue, hard work or difficulty tempt you into throwing in the towel…nor can you ever expect to win without struggling, suffering or sacrificing.

These are all essential elements of the DNA of success.

Commitment is a virtue…one which rewards loyalty and punishes infidelity.

That’s why the first thing you need to do when setting a goal or taking on a new project is to decide if you are going to…“go all in…or get all out.”

And should you find yourself being soft on commitment…or being unwilling or unable to pay the required price to go all in…then get all out right away.

Look at it this way…

The wisest exit plan is to opt out, before opting in…however, if you are going to quit, do it right away — because the hardest is part of victory lies somewhere between getting starting and building momentum…and success ensues when you persevere thereafter.

Everything can look like a mess, an absolute disaster, even failure in the middle…and that perception becomes reality the moment you choose to bail on your commitment.

So, you’ve made the commitment necessary to go all in…now what?

Here’s a few simple Yes or No questions to consider when evaluating the integrity of your commitment.

1. Does your behavior demonstrate a relentless determination to fight the good fight?

2. Is your resolve and follow through stronger and grittier than your fears and excuses?

3. Are you prepared to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes?

4. Will you consistently out-suffer your competition and end on empty?

Your answers reveal a great deal about your commitment and chances of success.

GOING ALL IN is a commitment that stands in the face of obstacles, hardships, temptations, financial difficulties, failing physical health, broken relationships, and stiff competition.

By choosing to be go all in…you are demonstrating no abatement of severity, intensity, strength, or pace, nor are you softening or yielding in determination.

Going all in is an empowering and forceful work ethic that drives you onward towards the achievement of our goals. The inner passion of determination, the indomitable emotional commitment to a worthy goal…is an awesome and liberating force.

So, why should you go all in and willingly put yourself through so much pain, sacrifice, and inconvenience?

The answer is as simple as it is profound…

Because if you can pass the tests, if you can overcome the seemingly impossible, if you can deliver a knockout punch to fear and still keep conquering big, challenging goalsyou will inspire others, and prove to yourself that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Everything Counts!
